The Saint James Infirmary is a non-profit hospital. Our new hospital is well equipped. Take a look at the pictures of our facility we have posted here. We provide the following services for the uninsured that need an operation or special study for much less than you have to pay in the USA.

The fees we charge are from the Medicare scale from Puerto Rico. Most Medicare supplements cover you for emergency and many of the USA insurance companies will if we call them.

The fees shown here are for example only. The prices listed are in US dollars.

CAT Scan of Head $260.00 (US Dollars) without contrast with contrast as another study $300.00 (US Dollars). Cat scan of back and abdomen $300.00 (US Dollars) with contrast.

Chest X-ray $30.00 (US Dollars). 

ER brief visit $15.00 (US Dollars) for hospital or $50.00 (US Dollars) per hour for stabilization, after 2 hours it goes to $35.00 (US Dollars) an hour. Doctor bills is separate. 

Room rates $150.00 (US Dollars) a day. Operating room $100.00 (US Dollars) for first two hours then $50.00 (US Dollars) per hour plus special supplies.

The Medical Doctors and  Anesthiologist are separate.

Some Doctor fees for procedures:

  • Hysterectomy $800.00 (US Dollars) dollars.

  • Hernia repair inguinal $450.00 (US Dollars).

  • Artificial hip complete $1200.00 (US Dollars).

  • Lumbar discectomy with fusion is $1200.00 (US Dollars).

  • Colonoscopy entire $157.00 (US Dollars).

The Saint James Infirmary will take credit cards or cleared check, or call insurance for authorization.

1000 ma X-Ray unit with fluoroscopy and arteriogram potential Barium enemas Upper GI Swallowing studies.

The OR is a White room in every respect.

 

Emergency room

4 intensive care beds and one for emergency surgery if or is occupied.

Automatic ventilators -  2. 1 ventilator for newborns:

Intensive care mobile incubator, with ventilator.

Defibrillator pacemaker, and all the usual things,

Such as rattle snake antivenom and other required emergency meds.

Includes injectable pain meds for sever MI and clot busters.

Working on a system of early intervention in thrombosis causing stroke and

Clot lysing drugs, you have 3 hours only

 

Complete stat lab to augment the emergency room.

World standard by eMedicine or iMedicine are the protocols we use. You may look them up on the internet.

 

Pressure in all rooms, air, suction as well as oxygen. Nitrous oxide for er, ob as well as surgery: central gas room.

 

Full central supply with two autoclaves and pass thru to surgery if needed.

 

24 hour Doctor on duty with sleeping room
